I was wondering how many people here at fmf would be open to restarting fmf in the future someday?

Just curious. Very Happy

Not me chief. Not in this lifetime at least. Be cool to see someone else pick it up and run with it though.

Can't say I haven't thought about it. But MR is first target. After that - if a team could be pulled together for this.... who knows?

I wouldn't. I mean I would love it if someone took it and watching how they completed it (and what they did with CR), but I know I wouldn't be able to work on it - I don't have any more time than I did when it ended. Plus, if I did have the time, I know I probably wouldn't be able to work up any motivation to work on anything but the Crossroads.

I thought as much I'd get such a reaction.

Its quite plain to see why fmf folded - no-one actually cares about it.

I don't think its fair to say that people didn't care about it .. even as an obvious attempt to get people "angry" enough to come back to finish it ...

This project sat too long, was at times much too overwhelming for the people involved and in the end got mired in its own ambitions. I'd rather start fresh, on something new and fallouty then start THIS particular incarnation of FMF back up.

SOTW, Im not trying to get people angry. I'm just frustrated with the whole fallout modding community. Everybody talks about things - but few of us have the grit and determination to actually do something.

Well, I suppose so - especially since you made the whole forum public so everyone could find out how quests work anyway. Its all about drive and having solid leadership to push it forward - but of course, brilliant leadership is worthless without a team...

No mate I'm still Fallout to the core. I've just moved onto other stuff, though. Only so many hours in a day and so many days in a lifetime and all that.

Another problem is - and I appreciate it's not a popular thing to say - but Fallout 3 is really rather good imhoes. Say I was lured back into modding, I'd probably be looking to work with that medium instead.

Very Happy How true - my degree takes up so much time! (as does snooker and magic the gathering! (enters sacrastic mode) How cool am I? Very Happy )

Never played it. Promised I wouldn't play another game till MR is done. But if you like F3 - I have no problem there. I love the original games.... but things move on.

personally, I;m a huge fan of thief. That "looks" similar to fallout 3 and is not normally a game I would play, but the storyline is so good - I couln't not play it.

I;ve been asked before to move to mod F3 - but I know how to mod F2. I don't fancy starting learning from scratch again.

I'd be interested, but I'd agree with what Seb said. This project had a load of great ideas, but sometimes a fresh start is best. If the time seriously came for a reimagined FMF, and things aren't too hectic in my RL, I reckon I'd be game.

I love Fallout 3 .. I've played through it a number of times to completion. I'm still finding things I've never seen before.

Yeah, If I were to come back to this kind of project, it would definitely be to mod F3 I think.

I'll have to pick it up some time.

Modding fallout three may be interesting - but I like the old stuff. Very Happy

Unfortunately, I got Fallout 3 for the Xbox 360.
