Personally, I gave up when it was decided we definitely wouldn't be switching to FIFE. Scripting Fallout 2 gave me a headache and reminded me of a programming job I never, ever want to do again. I said it when the project was first started, and I said it when I rejoined as a writer : Moving a Brahmin around takes more lines than writing Tetris.
Fallout 2 just isn't a very mod-friendly game and the end-result will in no way reflect the amount of work put in.
Still, it was a valiant effort and I especially admire DU and Agrajag for all the work they put in. I tried the Alpha yesterday and I'm glad to see that at least something was created. COTC feels a little bit like my brainchild, after all. *tears*

God damn, I am glad I didn't get on this sinking ship when I was like 13 FOUR YEARS AGO. I wasn't even in junior high back then!
With all the schadenfreude aside, I can relate to DU and other managers of this project, because I know how it is to get a project rolling and see it through. It's no easy task just to get like 3 people for a short film shooting, so getting 30+ people to write, code and draw for free (not even for some biscuits!)... Man, that's just plain bonkers.
Better luck next time!
